The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against this fatal disease. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause. Walks are currently held in nearly 600 locations nationwide.
The Northeast Kansas Memory Walk is a non-competitive 1 or 3-mile walk and a festive event for families, co-workers and friends of all ages. If you have any questions about the event, contact the regional office at 785.271.1844, 800.272.3900 or cindy.miller@alz.org.
Your efforts will help us reach our fundraising goal of $65,000 and MOVE the Cause Forward in northeast Kansas and throughout our Chapter's service area.

SW 6th Street between Oakley and Mac Vicar Streets
All festivities will be set up in the lower level of the football stadium area.

Team Captain Bank Day. A special day for Captains to turn in offline registrations and fundraising as well as pick up T-shirts for qualified walkers. At NEKS Regional Office, 4125 SW Gage Center Drive, LL-15, Topeka.
| 6/10/2009 10:00 am - 6:00 pm | Team and Individual Walker Day-of Check-in. For those who have registered online, but have additional forms and/or fundraising to turn in.
| 6/13/2009 9:00 am - 9:30 am | Day-of Registration. For those individual walkers and teams who have NOT registered online or turned in registration forms to the office.

Standard: No Fees
There is no fee to participate, but those who raise $100 are qualified to receive a 2009 Memory Walk T-shirt!

Registered walkers raising $100 or more are qualified to receive a short sleeve Memory Walk T-shirt.
Important Note: Shirts are only guaranteed for walkers turning in the required $100 by Noon on Friday, June 12th. The Chapter does not guarantee the availability of shirts for walkers turning in the qualifing amount after this deadline. |
